The Cast
Mark Luster
Mark Luster graduated from Ramsey High School in 1991. After a year in college Mark joined the U.S. Marine Corp. While stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. Mark met and married his wife of 13 years, Amanda. They have three children, Michayla, Faith and Hunter. After Mark’s time in the service he was hired as a correctional officer at Vandalia Correctional Center, where he is currently employed. Mark has also been a member of the Special Operations Response Team since 1998.Luster and Bogart are the rookies of the team bringing only 3 years of filming to the table. In that time however, they have brought 11 bucks, an elk, a caribou, 8 turkey and 4 coyotes to the table. Of the bucks that have been harvested by the Luster/Bogart team quality is a word that comes to mind! Four of the eleven bucks have grossed Boone and Crockett!
Luster and Bogart have approximately 1700 acres that they are strictly managing. Their work is paying high dividends already. Other than the giants they have already harvested for Drury Outdoors Productions they have several jaw droppers that are on the hit list. There are numerous trail cam pics as well as sheds and sightings that prove their presence. One thing this team brings is their ability to find a big buck, learn everything about him and then eventually harvest him on film. This is not a team a big buck wants on his trail. This year’s hit list includes 5 bucks that will gross over Boone and Crockett. First on the list is Double Shovels, a buck that the team has a two year history with including trail cam pics and shed antlers from 2007 that gross well over 195”. The 2008 rack grew at least 15 inches and will be a true legend this year. Second on the list is the perfect 10. Again, a two year history with this deer which is a shoe in for a net B&C score. Third is the prairie 10. He is a 180” ten point that lives in just 10 acres of timber. Fourth is the most impressive typical that this team has ever seen. A perfect typical 14 point that popped up on the radar this year out of nowhere. Upon finding his shed they now know that he was in the 190” typical range and looked to be at most 4 yrs old. Last on the hit list is a typical 12 that this year looked to be in the low 170’s as a three year old. This deer got a free pass at age 2 when he was in the mid 140’s. They are expecting great things from this buck this fall.
